Morning guys
The weather is in transition and we have to consider, our kit selection and the previous conditions from last winter .
Today my main thoughts are about hands and how I cope with winter winds and chilling conditions.
Firstly I always wear a pair of inner gloves which are thin and give me the ability to use all kit with out exposing my skin to the wind chill .
Secondly on colder days I have mittens over the inner gloves for protection and warmth from the elements.
Once I’ve warmed on most day I remove the mittens but retain the inner glovers for wind chill .
This a system I used on my Everest base camp trek this year and proved to a good working practice.
